Mike Krzus is an independent integrated reporting consultant. He is one of the world’s foremost authorities on integrated reporting and has provided advisory services to global companies and consulting organizations.

Mike is Senior Advisor to BrownFlynn. He is also a member of the Sustainable Holdings scientific and policy advisory team and the KKS Advisors expert network.

Mike is co-author, with Robert G. Eccles and Sydney Ribot, of The Integrated Reporting Movement: Meaning, Momentum, Motives, and Materiality. He is also co-author of One Report: Integrated Reporting for a Sustainable Strategy, with Robert Eccles. In addition, he has written or contributed to five book chapters and nineteen articles and cases on integrated reporting.

Mike is a passionate advocate for integrated reporting. He has spoken to business forums, investor groups, regulators, accounting firms, stock exchanges, and university students and faculty in Belgium, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, South Africa, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the United States.

Prior to founding his firm in 2011, Mike worked for 38 years in industry and public accounting at Arthur Andersen, BDO Seidman, Checkers Simon & Rosner, Grant Thornton, and Illinois Central Railroad. His experience includes accounting principles, assurance and auditing standards, corporate financial reporting, internal audit, and SEC rules and regulations.

Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Calumet College of St. Joseph and he is a Certified Public Accountant. He served three years in the Army, including a tour of duty in Vietnam.
